Ghost Horses From The Bog

There are several equine themed public sculptures near my home outside Kildare town, but this is my favourite. It captures the essence of horse and motion.

Through the Percent For Art scheme, one percent of the budget for major state construction projects in Ireland is set aside to commission public art.
This results in some striking pieces of art on Ireland’s roadways and roundabout. Here are some of those pieces, along with other examples of accidental and intentional road art.
